how can i get a cheap domain with no credit card etc?

hey im quite young so not old enough for paypal etc.before saying get a perpaid credit card at a bank,they stopped stuff like that years ago.

i was thinking about sending cash to a dp member that i can trust to register one for me then push it to my own account(i think you can have accounts on domains things and people can put domains into your account,yes?.

therefore it would have to be on naff free hosting and a very cheap domain so they dont just take my monmey and rip me off(as sending cash is risky) whereas if the domain only cost like a quid they probably couldnt be bothered scamming me

i am wanting to build a flash games site,i no nothing about scripts and would be using free hosting and a cheap domain,so i would need someone who knows how to install a script.

Also though i dont like giving my address if i get a domain - as im young im obviously vunrable to give away details i shouldnt

 

Maybe you could do a trade of some kind ... if you have Blogs, Forums that are yours - maybe with Blogger or a Free Forum service - you could trade links or posts for the domain and services you want.

If you don't Blog or Similar....

Similar to above you could possibly do some work for a trade, you could propose to do some Forum, Blog posting, Article submissions etc. for the domain you want.

But as for asking for script installation aswell - you may be pushing the the limits there, as you are asking for about an hours work.

 

it take about an hour??no wonder i couldnt figure how to install it on my free subdomain lol i thought i just uploaded it and bang its done.

the only things i have to trade are

a forum i made on a free sub domain forum that has around 125 posts
and ebook on how to make $1000 a week with no product
and a 30 000 ebook package.

also i would have to wait 13 days till i can post a trade

 

A lot of the free hosting that you can find does not support scripts, databases or any of the fancy stuff.

Have you considered installing xampp on your home computer? This would give you a "real web server" that you can use to create sites, learn scripts and develope your skills. Only you would be able to view the site.

People including myself give away domains here sometimes. Usually they have little time remainung and you will need to come up with a way to pay the renewal fee. every year.

If you are going to send money to someone, pick a member who is in your home country. I don't think you are in the US cause you used the word quid.

 

nope im in england,uk and yeah ,i know it needs renewing every year,but i figure if i could make a lil money from it in the first year my brother would hapily pay to renew it with his paypal(i know he wont at the moment cos he doesnnt really know what you do with domains etc an would think it a waste of money)

 

At domainsite you can buy an info domain for a year for $2.99 USD that is about the cost of a double scoop of ice cream at ice cream store. Godaddy recently had them for $1.99. For sure a domain is better for you than ice cream.

I suggest you spend some time whining and dining your brother as that is the safest option for you to use.

As you are not old enough to legally sign up for any of the advertising programs, I am not sure how you think you will make money online.

If you are older than 16 and from UK you can get a domain from a German provider and pay via bank transfer (EU-Transfer in Euro using IBAN and BIC).

And what is "very cheap"? Has it to be a $1 .info or does a $9 .com suit your needs also?
