I am fed up with my blog..i update the best breaking news but there is only 2 or 3 people visiting a day...i have tried Google trends and its also useless...it has adsense and for months i have earned only $9 Whats wrong with it? How can i make the blog get at least 200 views a day?
Make content they can't find about elsewhere.. rank highly in the search engine for them... breaking news is a bad idea because of the sheer amount of competition you'll have for everything
I saw a blog on your profile - http://news-jobsportal.blogspot.com/ Is this the blog you're referring to? If this is the one, sorry to tell you but it looks disorganize to me. Are these news original or just copied from news blogs? We have not yet reached the middle of March but you have already 55 blog posts?! I think my first advise to you is create original contents, and overhaul your blog looks. I also don't suggest URL with dash.... Hope that helps.
If u want generic traffic then you need to do long term work and good work for the visitors.. Firstly update unique valuable content, next build some backlinks via social bookmarking, directories and more u can search DP linkbuilding forum threads, later do some proper SEO and make the layout of the blog good for search engines to crawl and also user friendly for visitors & if it is a BLOG keep updating it & u will get your desired targets..
Post good content. I posted something very newsworthy and interesting on my blog a few days ago, at around 5pm. Between 5pm and midnight my blog had over 800 unique visitors. EDIT - it's still going up...
If you are going to try to blog about current newsworthy items in order to get traffic, then you should: -- be early - you want to have something published before the surge or at the latest on the low part of the upswing (before 9am EDT is good to catch the "just got in to work" crowd); -- be regular - daily posting is about the only way you can compete with already established blogs who you'll be going up against, you need to build a regular rhythm of posting to be taken seriously by the SEs; -- be picky - pick your targets carefully as you will rarely be able to compete against the really big sites on the really big topics; -- be oblique - take an unorthodox or controversial slant on the topic. Aside from that, use keyword-rich post titles, and a good keyword and synonym density in your main text. (There is no guarantee you'll get any more than $9 for the next few months if you raise the traffic to 200 views a day.)
2 or 3 is very low. Why don't you try guest blogging on blogs that are related to your niche. In exchange those blogs can give you a backlink in the post that you write for them. That's good for the search engines and traffic. Here is an article with some more ideas: more traffic
Are you posting about information that other websites have already posted? that could influence the need or no need for people to visit your blog. To increase traffic gradually you can: submit to web directories, blog directories, rss directories, blog comment, put a sig in a relevant forum, answer questions on yahoo answers.....
Post the url in this thread and we might be able to make more recommendations (You started an identical thread here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1264019 why?)
Promote your blog post topics with Squidoo lenses. Put an RSS feed module at the end of each lens and add your blog RSS to it.
It depends on your blog. If you are covering news that other "big players" are writing first then there is no need to people to visit your site (hense the low visit ratings). As it has been said many times before you need to write unique content on a regular basis. Once you have something worth reading you need to digg it, send links to friends, post links in forums (as signature?), submit your blog to places like blogcatalog, and comment on other blogs in a similar niche. It takes time and effort, but it's the only way to make a difference.
I think you are really fed up with your blog. You post the same question with the same words here - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=10876799#post10876799 But still, I gave you some advises on that thread...
Write some articles, get some backlinks, blog commenting, video marketing etc. But like the other poster said, it sounds like you're sick of your blog. Scrap it and move on.
