"How can i fly" broad keyword searches 55,600,000 and my site is in 3rd rank

I did research in keyword tool for the keyword "how can i fly" and found broad searches are 55,600,000
I created articles and did lots of promotion to directories continuosly.
Now my site url is ranking 3rd or 4th.
Hoping to get 55,600,000 hardly I got 2 visitors for that keyword.
I made a big mistake and wasted my time and energy.
I should have used Exact keyword search.
What do you think about this? Exact or Broad

 

Are you sure you are in 3-4 place in google.com? This 55 mln is for global search.

 

yes now it is showing in 4rth rank and my site name is mymoneyfalling [dot] com.

 

I'm assuming you used the Google Adwords Keyword Tool; this is why you saw such a high amount of search queries. The exact phrase only gets 260 or so search queries per month, for future reference make sure you always use exact match.
