How can I find out which advertisers are only paying 1 cent?

If I could figure out which advertisers are only paying 1 or 2 cents, I would like to filter them out using the competitive ad filter. That way the space could be used for an ad that will pay me more. I know that there are some paying so little, because sometimes in the mornings when I log into Adsense I can see that my earnings for the day so far are 1 cent.

How can I identify which advertiser this is?

In most cases - those who have ads for huge range of keywords with small competition - mainly newspapers, online games, some auction sites. So exclude all great sites who can afford campaigns driven by professional agencies to reduce costs :)

I've never actually had a click below 4 cents, are you sure the 1 cent isnt from impressions ?

Do I get paid for impressions? I thought I only got paid when someone clicked on an ad?

    A simple rule of thumb:

Go to the advertiser's web site (in a separate window, don't click the ad).

If they are not selling a product that they make, then they are paying very low.

    For example:
    Air France: Pays high.
Kayak (an online ticket agency): Pays lousy.

depends on your niche, if your in a low paying niche then more often than not you will get 0.1 cent clicks, not much you can do about it other than, start a new site, or even start using better keywords in your articles.

    Good luck

Well there is no way to know about it but you can use some sites which gives you idea and you can block those ads from your Adsense account. You can use: http://www.adsblacklist.com/ which is also good to know about low paying ads!
