Maybe you can try to hire yourself at sites like freelancer, edesk and other freelance sites. But i think it all depends on how good you are and how much you charge.

You can even try looking for customers on Digital Point. Also there are many freelancing site:
    1. www.freelancer.com
    2. www.elance.com
    3. www.edesk.com
    .
    .
and the list goes on and on.. Try signing up on all of them. For starting, I would advice that you keep your bid below $100 then slowly increase up your rate after you have gained a lot of experience dealing with clients.

    Cheers :)

Plus, make all of your friends and colleagues aware that you are available for website creation. Also, get your own website up and running if you do not already have one and add your sites as you create them to increase your portfolio. Also, I'd recommend blogging for both yourself and on other peoples blogs.

    Regards
    George

The best one is not work as a worker, but be a great value freelancer, create your own design or extension, and then sell it. For starting point, you can give freebies at your site to reach visitors and members, and then create other extensions with high functionality but cheap price, you will found that way is very very profitable :)

    1. odesk.com
    2. guru.com
    3. elance.com
