Hi, I own a warez site, http://ddlshack.com/, and about a month ago it had like 1k uniques a day, but now its getting like 200-300 for no reason :S I was hoping to have at least 2-3k by now and my traffic doesn't seem to be going up much from 200-300 UVs I have tonnes of linkbacks from other warez sites, coz mine is a ddl site and I require a backlink to be whitelisted. Does anyone know any ways I can drive traffic to my site?
Cut out with warez, better try to sell some paid products via affiliate and don't give anything free to surfers, let them pay for everything
Upload warez on free hosts like rapidshare, post the links on all major warez forums. Pack the warez in a rar or zip file and password protect it with your site name. In this way your site will get promotion and you would also get rapidshare points for all the downloads.
Go to other warez sites, see what people are looking for then get high google rank for the things people are looking for.

Yeah I thought of trying to make people who don't know much about warez aware of it. Because people who know all about warez and stuff will be like 'wow big woop another ddl site', but people who aren't in-the-know will be really amazed (hopefully). But I am not sure how to make my site more noob-friendly :S Also, how do I promote it to people who aren't "geeks" without spending excessive money on advertising??
Affiliate with any and all other warez forums. Do a banner/link exchange where they recommend you and you recommend them. Submit your site to "underground" search engines also. Put out some of you Warez as Torrents and including a text file with a link to your website in it. Teenage Geniu$
Post links to stuff on sites like rlslog.net and zerosec.ws just package stuff, upload to rapidshare, etc. Inside the .rar's have a readme file that has a brief snip of info about your site. hope that helps, Nigel
There is a thread on this forum entitled "Free Warez Search Engine [Submit your sites now]" or something similar, I just went past it, so that could be a good place to start also.
