@jimy: as far as I can understand you have 5 posts (4 topics). In 3 theads you explain us how to get traffic to our websites and some adsense tricks and now suddently you're asking this questions. It sounds weird in my opinion...
Ok Everyone in this forum is in here because they need help with something. All I'm trying to do is find out what other peoples techniques are. I know what I'm doing. I just want to know what everyone else is thinking.
The best free source of traffic that I know of is Traffic Swarm. If you haven't heard of it, check it out. There is a Pro option if you want even more traffic. I get about 30 hits a day with my free account but it increases the more credits you get over time simply by loading your traffic swarm homepage and visiting some sites.
Check this site : www.stevepavlina.com Most notably this article : http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/01/how-to-build-a-high-traffic-web-site-or-blog/ I know this guy can sometimes sound like a preacher, but I am 100% sure he tells the truth when he says he lives off his web site (and other sources like his own game company). Nonetheless he is more relevant than most other so-called marketing motivators out there giving you secret advices for 9.99$ a month.... EmperorCoder
Try not to let it get you. I thought it was a good question that you asked. I am not an expert on the subject by any means, but for traffic I think it is good to submit to all the directories. I have cyberfetch that submits to a bunch of directories automatically. You can also buy text links on higher traffic sites, or some people are using adwords. Google is kind of strict on where you are getting your traffic from. Anymore ideas on traffic?
I like that site, thank you for sharing it. I bookmarked it (will probably take a while to read the whole thing)...But it looks really good
simple technique is write articles and submit it to search engines and then capure emails of your visitors and send them newsletter weekly or monthly . however there are countless ways to get traffic . 1. forum signatures. 2. blogs comments 3. links on personal profiles on various sites 4. Articles submission 5Article writing 6. Tell a Friend Script 7. Links from other sites pages 8. creating free contents and requesting other websmasters to give it to there visitors .. if i type whole there would be atleast 100 ways . best is check other peoples websites . See what they did . and try to follow them .
I havent tried any free traffic exchanges ever. Can you please elaborate on it.. and do they get targetted traffic, which is useful?
Autosurf is crap. Been there. Wasted my money. Gain links. Write articles with embedded links. Keep posting on DP. It's all good. Col
See my post above about traffic swarm. I really like them and Jill Whalen of High Rankings recommended them as well. How it works is you get a custom page that you can make your homepage and every time you load your browser you get a credit. The page has other people's ads on them and if you see something interesting and click on it, you will get 2-4 credits. Each credit is worth one display of your ad which will be seen on other people's homepages giving you more exposure for your ad and more traffic to your site. People may click on your ad just to get the points or because they are interested so, worst comes to worse you get a boost in your alexa ranking. I just started with a few new ads a couple of weeks ago and I'm already getting around 35 hits a day and rising. Another source I have heard of is to post your ad on Craigslist but I haven't tried that yet and it's not really a traffic service although it's supposed to be a source of traffic.
It sounds OK, but I am not so sure about that custom page full of adds, doesn´t it look.....wierd? Doesn´t it add a spammy look to your site? Never mind my previous statement, I have been checkin this out and it actually looks cool. Thanks for the tip
here is my question about traffic swarn . i gets lot of credits everyday but my blog is not displayed via their network . i have credits but my credits are not converted into site traffic . i rearly get traffi from them ? what should i do to get some significant traffic from them ?
Yes, just to clarify for others, it's not the homepage of your website. I meant the homepage of your browser.
your ad may have been deactivated or maybe you haven't created one yet. login to your account area and check the status of your ad. if an ad is there and is active then you should try making another ad to lead to more clicks but it's likely that there is a problem with the ad.
