Dreamweaver is good for developing website.
But if you want to try something else, you can use netbeans (It's opensource so it's free)....
But if you just know a little, maybe you can use CMS first while learning to make website using that softwares.
You can use WP, Joomla, or something else

If you want a professional looking website without fussing over html, try snappages.com. It's one of those drag 'n' drop what-you-see-is-what-you-get web builders online. You don't have to worry about uploading to a web host, you just direct your domain name to your snappage. Everything is done within the control panel when you log in.

There are other website builders online you can try like wix.com and weebly.com.

If you're accommodating to bowl out a little bit of money, but not about as professional web designer would cost, acquirement's Adobe Dream weaver is adequately easy.

The difference between a professionally designed site and one done by someone who has never attempted one using a WYSIWYG program is very noticeable. If you are needing a commercial site, a professionally designed site is very important. A poorly designed site leaves a bad impression on the viewer. A bad site may scream that the company may not be that great and people may look for a different company.

WYSIWYG editor, get one, example TinyMCE or FCKEditor
its always easiest to actually learn to code though, shortcuts are just going to cost/frustrate you more in the end

Use some free or paid template. Its easiest way. Or learn to work with some graphic software like Corel or Photoshop.

You could try out the Artisteer version 2 that does website design and WordPress themes. It does a very good good and codes your designs as well. However, it currently doesn't support 3.0 themes.

Have a look at some themes I have designed with it so far. http://wpthemes.spunkyjones.com/

started using xara on this site: wdwguide.travelpixpro.com two weeks ago. So far , so good. Good data management on about 100 pages worth of content so far- also has good auto-update features for content and menu management

Expect plenty of hours of trial and error. Sometimes it seems like a good idea to build your own, but if your squeezed for time, it's a no-brainer to hire someone.

For newbies without technical skills or coding knowledge, web designing tool is the answer. The most widely preferred one is WordPress.
