How can I create ebooks and use them to drive traffic to my website? I've heard about other people doing this but I don't know how to get started. Can you give me some pointers?
1. Use Google 2. Find some theme you're an expert at. 3. Write an e-book and promote your product/website in it. 4. Promote the e-book. You really have to make a good reading first, as your questions are way too general. No one has so much free time to explain the basics and every single step to you. You should do this yourself, man.

It is not just creation its about writing, and you have to be a good writer to write any content rich ebook. Ask yourself could you write it according to your theme or products? Promoting that ebook is a second stage.
Once you have finished writing your ebook, make sure you put recommended resources or references section at the last page (or the first one), and put your links in it (whether affiliate ones or your sites). Also tell your readers that they can pass it on to their colleagues or print it provided they maintain the ebook content unedited.
I would say, like everything else, you need to do some research and try your best to get a system that works for you. I think people have given some awesome advice.
Uhh, no, the haven't. They have given awful, vague advice. Naveen.jha, in creating an e-book, look at the most popular ones out there, and go by example. Many, including mine have very short paragraphs for easier reading, and with blue and red text for more flair. Look at others' for examples Next, type it out in Word, or a document that you can later convert to PDF. Look "PDF" up for its meaning. You can go to Adobe or your local office supply store for such a program. You can write out your information, (title, index, content) like you see it as a regular ol' book, and then convert it. To sell it, to drive traffic to your site, you can either be a writer on the subject and or advertise it. That is it, in a nutshell.
Perry Rose - maybe I should have said - some gave some good pointers. Just because it is easy for one person does not make it easy for another and I guess that is the key. Using free eBooks is one way to drive people to your site and there are many ways to do that. Research was my point - don't stop until YOU find your answer. I hope that is better.
Make a short report and offer it free. The people have to download it from the site you want to promote.
try to find what kind of things that can make people attracted. last time i used to make a WoW guide book. what i did is copy the guide from other ebook and add some emoticon etc and some useless words such as hoho, haha , yeah, cool right . then sell it to amazon and ebay haha. it works thou
So, your advice is: "Steal other's content and sell it as yours"? This is cheating. And it violates the copyright of Blizzard since you cannot reproduce (not to mention sell) their materials without their written permission. And I am sure they didn't permit that for you. Trying to cheat everyone else, you're cheating yourself in the first hand. Once it becomes obvious that you're selling what you don't own - your sales will crash to zero. If you want to do business you must sell something valuable, not just something that is easy to steal.
You have to do a lot of research. Acoording to the niche of your sig... you need to be a good content writer and also format your ebook design in such a way that readers who are reading your first top content will be attracted to open it and read the whole section... It has to be more appealing too.... Later you can post your ebook in some sites..
If you are going to embark on creating the ebook yourself, think about the kind of free ebook you would like to receive about your particular niche. Make it content rich, high quality content, don't worry too much about the quantity. Then promote the free ebook and on the back end take the customer to the site or paid product sales page.
