Hi, there~ I would like to know the method to make such a website providing the easy way of downloading something with wordpress. You know, it is said that making money through Download Sites with wordpress is very easy. But I don't think so. Because I am a newbie, bla, bla~~~ I didn't find the way of setting up such download sites although I had researched almost all the websites by Google, sigh! I know how to set up the common websites by wordpress, but how can I do this? The viewers came to my download website(for example - abc.com) and clicked one of the links (abc.com/def.html). There some more introduction or description about the download resourses in this def.html page. And you can click the "download" and then redirect to my website still (abc.com/download/links.php?id=430, for example), not the e.g. rapidshare,hotfile etc. directly. Finally, there will be the rapidshare or hotfile download links on this page, abc.com/download/links.php?id=430 That's all. And how can I do these with wordpress or some PHP codes. There are quite a few download management plugins in wordpress including redirection but most of them have not been updated recently. A few popular download plugins are: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/download-monitor/ http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-downloadmanager/
Thanks for your reply. I knew these two plugins when searching the web. But it didn't fit my demand. I don't store anything for downloading in my website or hosting. I just upload files to the hostfile.com or rapidshare.com, such files share compony. And then I will get those files download url. I put these urls in a special pages of my website, such as a.html. I will draw a picture to illustrate it. View attachment 52850 For example, you want to download something about A, and find my page: A.html. Then you read the introduction about A and click some link and you will see on this page - downa. Finally, you can choose what you like the best file share downloading service, e.g., hotfile. You click the hotfile link which is on my page downa and is redirected to the right place. There are so many pages like these. Will I create them manually one by one. I don't think it's a good idea. So how can I fullfill my idea about this download pages such as downa, downb, downc, downd, and so on.
