    if you google convert swf to gif, you'll find plenty of programs to do it.

    I found a bunch of programs that can convert it into a single non-animated gif image..i need it to animate like its a .swf. Isn't there any way i can just add something in the HTML to make it clickable?

    i never tried wrapping a swf in <a href=> tags
    i did see a program or 2 that mentioned gif animations.
    try tagging it and look a little harder for that program.

    While we're at it, does anybody know how I can record blu-ray video to VHS cassetes without too much quality loss? I just think VHS are a better format.

    Why on earth would you desire SWF's, a small vector format that can have a variety of effects and links WITHIN the document itself, that can use millions of colours, and have advanced animation converted into GIF's, which is a format that was replaced by newer technology well over a decade ago, that has a limited palette of 256 colours tops, and has either static, or a single loop of animation - and without the chance for internal links.

    You;d make an entire SWF clickable the same way you'd make an ancient GIF clickable. No gain here, just uglier, likely bigger files.

    OK, i am now positive that you can make a flash object clickable. Fapturbo even has banners that are SWF and clickable: http://www.fapturbo.com/affiliates.html

    So i tried using their code and replacing the URLs and image locations with my own, example:

     <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,0,0" width="468" height="60" id="banner9" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="movie" value="http://www.webresell.net/ads/banner9.swf?link1=http://www.webresell.net" /><param name="quality" value="high" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" /><embed src="http://www.webresell.net/ads/banner9.swf?link1=http://www.webresell.net" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="468" height="60" name="banner9" align="middle" allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
    </object>
    Code (markup):
    ,but to no avail.

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

    ROFLMAO~

    But wouldn't want to try converting blu-ray to Beta cassettes? I think you would be able to get alot more use out of it... Time travel to the 80's and grab me a beta machine too...
