How can I close my thread for further replies?

I just marked a thread I had created in the Content Creation section (https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/content-creation.102/) as SOLD. There is an option - 'Auto-close thread 14 days after sale expires' which I forgot to set while creating the thread. Now when I enter the 'Edit Sale' settings to activate this option, it is not there.
I want to close the thread for further replies as the sale info it contains is no longer valid.
How do I do this now? Or should I report this thread to a forum mod?

Use the report post link on first post in thread and ask to have thread closed. The caveat is you may not start another similar thread in future.

OK, I will report the thread.
    Thanks for your reply Smyrl.:)
I understand that a duplicate thread can't be created. However, if I want to open a sale that is NOT "SAME" but "SIMILAR", can I start a "similar" thread?
E.g. I open a thread in the content section to sell a pack of 10 articles on insurance. The offer is that you can buy one article separately for $3, but the price of entire pack is $25. This article pack is sold. Now again, I want to create a thread for selling another pack of 10 articles on the same topic i.e. insurance. The articles in the second pack (which is NOT yet sold) are completely different from the articles in the first pack (which is already sold). They might have the same word-count and structure, but the content is entirely different. The offer is the "SAME" again - buy one article separately for $3 or buy the entire pack for $25.
In this case, I believe I can create a "SIMILAR" thread which is NOT against DP rules. Right? Yes, the second thread should have a different title and wording so that it is not marked as a duplicate one.

A similar thread wound be considered a duplicate.

    Thanks for your reply digitalpoint.:)
So is relisting/bumping the thread the only option available?

We have to use report option for any section to closing any thread? os we can use report option only for above mentioned area : https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/content-creation.102/

    Kindly confirm it as well.

You can use the 'report' option for ANY section, not only the Content-Creation section. E.g. check this thread: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/all-you-need-to-know-about-seo.413544/.
(Please correct if this is wrong.)

I recently had a thread moved from the General-Marketing sub-forum to Copywriting by 'reporting' it and would like to take this as an opportunity to thank DP mods for their quick response and prompt action. After reporting the thread for closure, it was closed within minutes and the other one moved. Thanks again DP mods.:)
