That's fine, I don't want to change their rules. But, can I close my account and just open a new one without getting in trouble?

Well, I guess this will be the last time I use digital point then. I really do not understand the rational about not letting someone legitamately and for good reasons give up all their points, etc, and close their account at least one time. Especially as their is no great BIG WARNING BANNER stating this is YOUR NAME FOR LIFE posted on the registration form.

one of the things you agreed to when you registered was that one account only, period. those are the rules. simple and pretty much unbending. sorry to see you go.

Name changes are not allowed anymore.

Also, you should never expect a reply from Contact Us feature as it has no destination...lol

This isn't certainly not the only forum that doesn't allow name changes (or new accounts when you don't one any more). Good reason to think carefully before you create an account on any forum

You could make a polite request to one of the forum admins to delete your present account (crazy rob, prob) but don't expect it to happen. This forum is soooo large that removing or changing anything username-related can totally screw up the database and cause hours and hours of work not to mention revenue loss for the forum. There's a slim to nil chance it can be done as you ask but to be honest I wouldn't hold my breath.
