Yes Google Analytics is a great tool to keep a track of your traffic, its simple interface makes it a real cake walk even for the dummies. But my personal favorite is still statscounter, its live feature and detailed analytical resource really helps me in a big way. But Google Analytics is fast changing and becoming better every day. So I'd suggest to use a combo of both Google Analytics and Statscounter. Cheers

Awstats is the best for knowing the exact visits and unique visits and you can find it right in your cpanel but google analytics is an indepth traffic analysis tool and it is a must have for every serious webmaster
