How can I check if my domain is friendly to optimize

    Hello,

I have been working on optimization since a year and half on one of the website which provides car rental services around Costa Rica.

Still the site sits around 7th page for one of the main keyword, it is on first page for very low traffic generating keyword. I am trying hard to get the website on first page for the main term.

I have followed all the best practice methods, but still the site does not come up. I have good backlinks almost equivilant to my competitor but still the results are not the way it should be. I just had thought if my domain really has any problem?

Is there any way that I can cross check the domain and see if that fits for working on optimization? If I find it does not fit then I would just stop working and concentrate at least on getting some other website?

I would be happy to hear expert views and advice to me on this, please write a meaningful and learning views and not junk messages.

Does the domain contain the keyword inside of it? Is it a TLD? .com .org .net etc... does your competition have an exact match domain? Maybe an older domain? Try to have more and better backlinks than the competition not the same. Keep on building and building and eventually you will come out on top :).

    Thanks for your feedback.

Yes the domain has keywords within it, while competitor domain does not. When I say back links I am doing my best efforts for backlinks than my competitors. Yes my competitors are quite old age domain say 8 year + while my domain is just 3 years.

My point here is should I still continue with the domain or just stop my promotion efforts? You suggest me to build links on regular basis from wide sources right?

You can check the URL and keywords withing braces in my Biography section. As I am not sure if I can include URL here in the discussion I did so in my Biography section.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Just make sure to emphasize your site and its business is very much legitimate. Include the best words to describe and location of your site when you do link building for it to show people and search engine it exists there.
