How can I change the icons of files in Windows?

    Hi everyone! please help me, I want to replace the icons shown for files in windows, you know, the small default icons that represent files like .doc, .jpg, .gif etc.... just explain me how to do it. thanks!;)

    Well, you will go to Desktop, right click, Properties. Then choose Desktop Tab and Customize Desktop. Now, click on them and then click Change Icon. This is for the Windows Standard Desktop icons.

    Later Edit: Ooops, I didn't read the last line...
    Ok, for that you can go to My Computer, then choose Tools > Folder Options... Then choose File Types and click on the type of files you want to change icons for. Then click Advenced, and on the right you have Change Icon.
