I have a Comcast Cable Modem connected to an Airport Extreme Base Station, with both a Mac and a PC going through the Airport (Mac wirelessly and PC via ethernet). I have a static IP through Comcast. How can I change it?

For your PC, go to your MS-DOS prompt.

    Then type ipconfig /release

    Then type ipconfig /renew

That should give you a different subnet for your IP address.

This wont work as the ip that everyone on the internet sees is the ip of your airport.

I would recommend finding an anonymous proxy service.

    Have you tried asking Comcast?

I have Bellsouth, and I unplug the modem for about a minute. My girlfriend has Comcast, but I never bothered to see if it can be done with them.
