    Hi everyone,

I have been working on a site for some time now. I have done loads of link building but now i regret the domain name i picked and i would like to change it with out loosing the link juice.

Can i change my domain name from something like "redsox dot com" to "whitesox dot com" and still get traffic from the optimized keyword "baseball" that i've built so many links for?

The most easiest thing I can think of is to keep the old domain name and just put a line of code to redirect traffic to new domain.
It should work and visitors shouldn't feel it at all. The only problem would be that you will need to continue paying for your old domain.

It's the thing like with Google for example, if you type google.net you end up at google.com . Many sites do this to protect their brands.

I dont think there is another option without retaining your old domain name and redirect traffic to new domain .

    Agree with the above suggestions..

    1. Keep your own domain
    2. Make a PERMANENT redirect, temporary redirect wont pass the pr or link juice..
