How Can I Block Specific Countries from accessing my site?

    Hello,
I am interested in blocking China Access to one of my sites. Is there some kind of quick way to do this? People from China are overcrowding my site and my box is starting to lag, while revenue is not increasing at all.

    I'd appreciate your help guys.

You can use GeoIP in .htaccess or apache's module mod_geoip

    http://www.ipdeny.com/
offers free country allocated IP blocks in CIDR format and they claim that they update data files once in 24 hours.

I had the very same situation = China for the very reason that soon I figured out that almost all traffic from china is fake automated traffic from all across the entire chinese IP blocks.

to relief apache - I opted for iptables
its resource-friendlier than deny from via apache

blocking more or less all china results in absolutely NO reduction of adsense revenue - hence it seems that most china traffic might be of NON-human kind just to create a global picture of being BIG in www activities ...

Yeah... I have blocked all the traffic.

Now I can direct it to whatever site I want...and thus destroy it :p
