I just started out this whole blogging business, and I was wondering if you guys could check it out and perhaps give me some tips? What should I do (besides posting more, of course)? http://www.falsefacts.info/
First of all, your URL seems to be confusing and I am not sure if you can provide many articles on it. But I suppose you will have different categories. Anyway, have you already thought of ways on how to monetize it? Google Adsense, selling ad space, etc? I think you will also find a hard time promoting it like submitting to your directories, or anywhere where a particular category is required. No offense, but I think it will be hard for you to attract different kinds of visitors. By the way, who are your targeted visitors? Have you checked more or less who will be the ones interested in reading them? Your subjects seem to be interesting to read but only for students, who most likely will not buy from you. If your plan is to make money from Google Adsense, you got to get tons of search engine traffic. But again, you will find it hard because your blog topic is very broad. Just my opinion though, since you are asking us.
Wow amazing i was thinking about making such website ! Ignore GuardianAngel He is making emphasis on search engines But this is unique and what people like.....
Yeap. Its take little longer to load your blog. BTW try to add more unique contents there frequently and promote it through submissions at web directories, blog directories and through comments on other blogs. DON.
Your on to a pretty cool idea here Design wise - the really light/bright blue makes it hard to read your text. As mentioned before - your load time must improve! Clean up your code some. Post a LOT more content. Your off to a good start but you really need a lot more content.
PS: wanted to correct the blue bg remark I made ( above ) it's the white text that is hard on the eyes
i liked the idea. You will get regular visitors if you are able to get blog posts regularly. Best of luck.
Your blog niche is too general and try to get some interesting topic if possible. If you plan to earn some money, suggest go for adsense and paid to write review such as ReviewMe
I cannot believe someone is telling the world to ignore someone who is advising to make emphasis on search engines. I was just trying to help. Besides, how do you think Thrashingshrimp can make money from his blog? Most of you here are telling that his site is amazing and unique, and what people like...like what? like to read, leave comments, and follow...but not like to click ads or buy a product. And the visitors from search engines are the most credible visitors to do that, as I can assume that almost no social visitor will buy from a blog. Bloggers don't buy from each other, except for themes and related items for blogging. Well, I still keep my advice not unless Thrashingshrimp is making his blog for charity... So sumitseo, where will you get traffic and how will you make money if you will be making such website? peace...
Thanks to everyone (even GuardianAngel) for your great input. The site loads fast for me, but I will work on improving that. This is my first blog, so I didn't really focus on a niche. It's mainly about facts really. I will continue to work on putting up more interesting posts. GuardianAnhel, I'm focusing my blog more on content than traffic/income right now. Eventually I will monetize it, but thanks for your input anyway. It will be difficult to make sales because of the broad niche, but I think I can work around that. Thanks again.
You're welcome, and I am glad you appreciate my ideas. I really think that one of the main reasons why most bloggers are not making money is because they do not include in their plan on how they will monetize their blog. Then, they will be surprised later when they have a lot of traffic, attractive theme, original content, and tons of fans and subscribers - but not making good money. Do you know that there is a celebrity blogger who has a visitor of half a million daily, but complaining because he is only making $1,000 a month from Google Adsense? Here is a great story from Copyblogger that I recommend you to read before continuing your blog http://www.copyblogger.com/no-money-blogging/ Hope that helps.
