i recently launched a web directory (www.anotherwebdirectory.com) which ever since was a great success. I am getting a lot of good reviews very day.... But i want to take this to the next step. What do you guys suggest me to do to get even more reviews and more traffic!

Should I go to PPC or something like that?

I think you mean www.anotherwebdirectory.com, like how the directory has been set up. Nice modifications to the biz-script.

It's hard to drive decent traffic to webdirectories. I believe gaining webpopularity and advertising on other web directories + text links is a way to get more traffic. And submit your directory to all the free-directory lists.

You could try ppc, but I think it's difficult to make money, because your not selling a product so there's hardly any roi. If you do decide to go for ppc, please keep us updated with your findings.

Good luck with running your directory.

I am not selling a product but I am definitively giving a good service no? So there should be some kind of return! ...that is what I think!

Is it in the Co-op ad network, if not you might want to give it a try (see sig)

You also might want to optimise your Adsense positioning to maximise the income potential

If you haven't figured out the return prior to starting a website........ then you shouldn't of started the website.

Ask yourself why you started your directory?

I always like to put myself on the other end of things........ ask why people should use your directory. What's in it for them. (W.I.I.F.T.)

It will return as it is returning already! But the more traffic the more it will return no!

About spamming. I am not going to stay all day posting irrelevant post in web master forums. I just put my site on review and whoever wants jsut use the serivce...dont worry dude ;-)

I like the hint you gave me. About the adsense thingy what do you mean by optimising the position?

i would suggest google adword if you can spend at least $100/month. I am already doing adword for my all directory sites. If you want permanent link building then try www.linkmetro.com for exchanging links with relevant sites only or do manual submission to other reciprocal and no reciprocal directories.
