Two years ago, I could advertise a PTC site using mere forum posting, and now I can't as forums are dying. I've just paid $20 for 468x40 banners on 5 PTC websites for 30 days, to advertise my own PTC website. And less than 24 hours, I've got 11,000 impressions for my adverts, and 7 clicks, with the 7 clicks coming from one website. Does anyone know any good way to advertise PTC websites or referral links?
Common way to advertise your own PTC sites is to buy clicks on other PTC sites specially Aurora sites as they are cheap in advertising. You can buy 1K clicks at around $0.5-$1 depending on the size of the site. You can also exchange ads with other PTC Admins. Holding a Referral Contest on the site is the quickest way to get members. If you are advertising referral link, Then you can use two approaches. Either advertise your referral link to other sites (after doing proper cost/benefit analysis) or you can offer incentives to people to join under you. About the forums, They might be dying in other niches but money making forums are still growing well and very active. Just need to search on Google. Posting on money making and PTC forums as an Admin of a site brings much exposure to your site and is a free way of promotion.
Definitely establish yourself in a few PTC forums, adds a level of trust to your site as well as giving you free promotion.
