    I'm not sure if you can add your already finished software to a chip, but while I studied college I learned about a programming language called VHDL. It is used to design programs for chips, and upload the programs to the chip itself.

    What is the chip you are referring to? Is it a DSP, Microcontroller or a FPGA ?
    I guess you are referring to programming a microcontroller.
