Pay a "senior" editor for "SEO" work and get listed in no time. ;)

The answer is - you can't submit to DMOZ until they fix their problems, which has been the case for 2 months now. I'm in the same boat. Bad timing for us. Gworld is just making a joke about the perceived corruption/abuse that a lot of people talk about.

I am not joking. If you don't know about it then you must be a new editor or not high enough in food chain in order to make money of your "volunteer" work. ;)

Just trying to explain the comment in a nice way to someone who's obviously new to the issue. ;)

Whilst there is undoubtedly some corruption at a senior level in DMOZ, it would be unfair to make a general statement about the people high up in the food chain. Most of them are decent and honest citizens.

The problem is that these decent and honest people close their eyes to what is happening in front of their eyes and tolerate the corruption in order to continue as editors. I suppose the question is if the people who make the corruption possible by their silence are really blameless or honest?

gworld tell true. Some part of DMOZ are more private directories where editor use it for submission and promotions of his own sites.

Give me a break. That's just another gw generalization. Now you're assuming that "these decent and honest people" personally know of corrupt editors. I don't. If I did I would report it. If you know of any you know who you can trust here to pass on the information if you feel you can't gworld. The problem is that unless you have specific examples I'm not going to waist my time trying to chase a ghost. Like most low level editors, I don’t have the time or ability.

Just look at this forum, it is full of concrete examples of sites and the name of editors. With so much evidence, if "these decent and honest people" still don't know about corruption, it is because they DON'T WANT TO KNOW. ;)

The problem is that people from DMOZ do not care about any reporting.
I did reported twice one corrupt editor with evidence. He have more than 5 own sites listed in one category (some of them are just couple weeks old), reject another sites (competition) and never received any reply.

    btw

If someone would like to have evidence about corrupt editor i will sent him PM.
A couple months a go i've talk with ishfish by this thread about corrupt editor ( i do not have any idea of he is editor by DMOZ into another category):

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=97063

And send to him evidence too.He was so convinced of evidence that he received from me that he did send report to DMOZ too about corrupt editor but nothing happend. Thus DMOZ team has received 2 complains 6 moths a go and another one 2 months a go. 3 complains in total.
Editor is still there with a lot own sites.
