how can i add chat application like facebook in my social networking site?

i am developing social networking site.

i want to add chat facility like facebook have added.

i am using ASP.NET.

can anyone please guide me

i already search in google but not finding proper solution for ASP.NET.

 

This isn't an ASP.NET solution and it may be beneath most of the hard core coders on this forum but I highly Suggest getting Joomla! and then adding the JomSocial Extension. It is the Best thing next to facebook, quick and easy to get setup and running and crazy easy to modify later. Or you could spend lots of time reinventing the wheel from scratch...

By "proper" you mean "writing your own code from scratches"? If so, I think you need to improve a lot in programming first, because it's a very complicated script.
If you don't need to write it from scratches, I think using JomSocial extension is the best option, as already mentioned.

 

no not even me. But thats not a complicated programming as Gediminas told. The only thing is I dont want to write the code from scratch. I am trying to find out the ready made script. If i will find it I will let you know. and in between if you find something please let me know.

 

I think it will be hard to find a ready made 'script' for this. For starters it's going to require some serioius backend integration.

You will need to some serious $$$ for this I think

i have devlop some code for Chat and it work fine in local but when i upload on my server that will not work
i have devlop using WCF ASP.NET 2008 so need any setting in iis 7 for wcf ?

so what type seting i need in IIS 7?
