How can host a posting contest on my forum

I want to have a posting contest for my forum to boost the post count. The problem is, how do I keep track of the posts. I want to have it so that the member with the highest posts during that month wins, not overall posts. So how do I keep track?

What type of forum software do you use on your forum?

I use vBulletin software for my forum and I use this mod here to keep track of my stats.

It is a nice mod that works well for my contests and is very flexible. You can see it in action at the forum in my signature link.

Forum software is must. We cannot hit arrows on what you want really. We kind of need an idea what forum software it is so we can research on it.

Don't make it so complicated. Just start a thread about the contest and tell people that to enter the contest, they have to post in that thread and state their current postcount. Then at the end of the month, you'll be able to look at the thread and see who has the biggest increase.

Works with any kind of software. ;)
