Just wondering here, the TOS says you can only have an account if you're over 18 (or sign up under parents name), but how could they tell if you're under 18?

Well, it's in their TOS. I am not sure how do they know while I guess they don't ask you for your date of birth while you sign up for adsense.

Yes they don't but ask for DOB weirdly. Some people would be stupid enough to write there real DOB in there :p

They ask when you register, hoping that you say the truth. No other way. Anyway, you always can lie about that.

There are probably thousands and thousands of under 18 kids who use Google Adsense, I'd say atleast 5 - 10%.

    Google can't really do anything.

they are just protecting their butts by putting it in there. If the user does sign up and get caught with the law, its no longer googles problem. its the users.

You do not have to be eighteen to register. The payee who is receiving the checks is the only one must be eighteen or over. Simply get your checks sent to someone else.
