I have this new blog.dont wanna add a link to it right as i still new here. But i keep hearing about submission of blogs to directories.how will it help me in SEO?
Every website wants to bring in more traffic, especially if you’re just getting started. With directory submissions driving traffic to your website is easier then ever before. With directory submissions increasing your search engine ranking and page rank it allows potential customers to easily find your website while searching for their needs on various search engines. Only visitors who are actually interested in your site and what you have to offer will be sent to you, because that’s what they were searching for! This kind of traffic means more returning customers for you and a higher conversion rate for your products or services, and your business continues to grow. Currently we offer a variety of directory submission packages to fit every webmaster’s needs. www . prodirectsubmit . com prices starting at $3.50!!
How can it increase my page rank aside the traffic it brings me.Will i have a back link from the directory?
Thanks so much for the info.i'm really new in this whole thing.I think i have to kick off with directory submission immediately.
If your blog is really new, it might be too soon to really start submitting to directories. Ones that are well-edited,the ones you will see better results from, often will not accept a new blog. It's no reflection on you personally or your blog. It's just that too many blogs are started and abandoned or start off good and then start using copied and/or otherwise objectionable content. Most quality directories require blogs to be a certain age, have so many posts, etc. There is no hard and fast rule, some directory owners have written policies and others go by their instincts.
My site is not really that new.it was on blogspot before i moved to my domain recently. so my domain is still a baby. but i have more than 700 posts
Ya directory submission is useful, it gives you free back link, it will not give you any traffic at all..
Agree with skyinfo. You also need to consider which directories you submit to. You will find that a lot never get crawled by Google and will therefore be useless in terms of obtaining a backlink.
I assumed when you said that your blog was new that meant new as in you just started it from scratch. With 700 posts, it's far from a brand new project where you would need to be worried about not being taken seriously. My comment seems silly when talking about a blog that already has more posts than most blogs will ever have.
