2month ago I have sumbmit site in dmoz but there is no response from dmoz so what is the proceedure to add my site http://www.cyber-maza.com to dmoz please tell me
Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
2 months? I've submitted websites in and have been waiting more than a year and they have still not been listed!
OTOH, I listed one in New Zealand today that was only suggested on 2011-01-29. I just happened to be passing through the category at the right time. Think that's lucky? That's nothing. I checked my domestic Propane tank today at 08:55 to find that I only had about a week's supply remaining. It's Winter here so I went indoors, turned down the thermostat and told the missus why. At 09:00, the Propane truck arrived before I'd even called them. Now that's lucky - and *&^%$$ good service too. Off to buy some lottery tickets...
Its not going to get listed. The content is scraped. Lack of unique content. Suggest you forget about it and move on.
That luck because yo made somebody happy by approving his/her .NZ site. I'm sure if you do it more often, you will get luckier, then maybe consider buying lottery tickets.
I'm sure he does. I wish you guys don't end up with carpal tunnel syndrome, due to the high volume of submissions/reviews. Take it easy Jim so you can enjoy the lottery money! I personally never submitted a website yet, but I will try it to measure my luck level.
You are welcome, like any other person or site owner, to suggest a site for possible inclusion. Please remember it is just that a suggestion and editors have no obligation to use suggested sites as a resource when they are category building..
Thank you and it's done. It sounds like you are saying it all depends on the editor mood, on that day and specific time. I don't mind being questioned to meet your standards, or getting denied. Life is too short to worry about inclusion. Wish me good luck! I need it.
Good luck. Not quite the mood of the editor, but we are human!! But can depend on many things. I sometimes do little editing for some time because I need the break or have not got the time or got too frustrated with suggestions that describe their site as "the very best web site on the internet, don't miss these fantastic bargains, you will never see the like again". Sometimes the suggestions pool has excellent unique content sites and it is great to add them, sometimes the pool is more like a cess pool full of sites that we would not touch. Sadly categories like the later are often neglected by editors because it is no pleasure to work there and the good sites have to wait with the bad until someone feels a real call to indulge in a bit of editing for duty!
To add in Dmoz i think you have to first go the relevant category and then add.its takes time and there is no guarantee of getting listed.I had read this somewhere ;p
Why do people keep making this sort of stuff up for, when editors repeatedly say that no category is without an editor and having a named editor in the category or not does not make any difference.
It gets worse. Websites deliberately suggested to the wrong category have to be moved to the correct one to await further evaluation. This diverts the editor doing the moving from doing something useful, thus diluting their efforts and slowing down the whole process for everybody. We did a statistical analysis on this a few years ago and the results are probably just as valid today. It showed that websites suggested to the correct category were, on average, listed 4 times faster.
