How can advertisers help affiliates?

We have a small online retail store and are currently running an Affiliate program on clixGalore. Would be interested to know what you as Affiliates like/need from your advertisers? What things should we be doing to help our affiliates more? Any suggestions would be welcome.

First if you want any normal affiliates to take your company seriously invest some money and open affiliate program with cj, linskhare or google performics.

Second try to provide lots of creatives, data feeds, coupons, etc.. in other words all the right tools for affiliates to bring in customers...

I know CJ and Linkshare are big two, what about the Share-A-Sale network? Does it have a strong reputation and "normal affiliates"?

We're trying to balance our marketing costs with some expenses we need to make on the ecommerce side.

The more content you can offer them, the better off they will be.

 

Avoid a big pitfall once you start running on any network, make a landing page that's customized from the affiliates point of view, no contact page, no phone #'s hidden on page 2, etc... Personally I won't run programs like this because of bleed through. You'll be surprised how many advertisers think that's a good landing page format.
