Hi, I have a blog being active for about 5 months, I'm a newbie of SEO, I did nothing to promote it but post unique content every day. So it has little traffic and gets no pr, how can it gets some quality links? Thanks.
Are you asking how can your website get backlinks? If so, add comments on blogs with higher PR... Post articles on Ezine (or is it enzine) articles with a link to your blog. If you want to help your website out, 1 way links (a link to your website, and you don't link back to them) is the best thing that I would suggest. Read around the forum, I'm sure there are some threads on here all a bout it.
Do the basic SEO stuff like forum posting, article submission, social bookmarking, etc. to build links for your blog. Exchange links with relevant blogs to increase your PR too.
here it is my friend...from another poster on the site how to exactly "use social bookmarking and article submissions"... # Do some keyword research, pick one you like, and have a 1,000 word article written on the topic of the keyword/phrase. (Keyword should have over 2,000 searches per month and under 10,000 results in Google.) # Make sure the article has the keyword/phrase in the title of the article and then 3x per 100 words in the content of the article. # Then make sure the last few words of the article are the keyword/phrase you are targeting. # Now you need to drop a link or two in the article or in the author bio. box and the click able text of those links should be the keyword/phrase you are targeting. # Submit this article to EzineArticles.com or GoArticles.com. (Squidoo.com & Hubpages.com also come highly recommended) # Finally, once your article is approved or published use several popular social bookmarking sites to "bookmark" your article. Make sure you give the "bookmarks" a title that includes your targeted keyword/phrase. (OnlyWire.com is highly recommended)
Since you are new you will want to make sure you have your Onpage SEO in place: meta title/descrip/tags . This means relevant and unique for each and every page on your website. If this is already setup you will want to start with directories to submit your website to. DirectoryCritic and Vmoptions have great lists to get you started. If you have tons of unique content you are ahead of the game, but not it's time to promote what you have with SEO.
The link building methods above are the most common ways of getting links and are very effective. The problem being is that many of these link building techniques can be quite labour intensive. The easiest way is to buy links. And the easiest way of doing that is to post on DP what you are looking for in the link purchasing section. Then others with relevant links to sell you will get in touch with you. Another tactic I employ is posting a job on Getafreelancer.com and asking for the type of links I want. This also quite effective. You can even buy comment posts.
depending on the niche you could try some different methods such as video advertising (youtube, etc), or even direct response ads in classifieds (you can get into a Big 10 university newspaper's Work At Home section for $12/line for example.)
If you are constantly writing unique quality content the simple answer is SYNDICATE! Add your rss feed to every possible directory and feed reader, bookmark your posts in related Social Media/Bookmarking sites. If your content is good enough people will start reading/following and probably syndicate/link to your material.
you can post your site links as bookmark. there is lot of sites with good PR where you can bookmark your site. Thus not only you can get traffic but can get SEO too.
Write unique content everyday is very good. However, try to target more unique keywords and phrase to have your site index in SE. IF your keywords/phrase for every posts is attractive and many people search for the words. Then, you will receive qualify traffic and hence increases your site traffic. In order to get PR, just build more dofollow backlinks and you will get the PR juice.
