    As per my knowledge, search engines loves blogs with regular updates. update your blog with latest content and let the search engines know about your blog. do pinging for each post submit your blog to blog directories, do SBM etc..

    Search engines like them because they got update with very good quality content and more frequently than regular websites. Blogs uses web 2.0 tech's like RSS Feeds, Social Bookmarking which makes it more uniqe so they can got top search engine ranks easily.

    The Blog has its good features like blogger blogs, blogs are good in search engines because the archive and the Consecutive posts .. don't forget the content - the king - and some good seo especially backlinks , content keywords , rss feed ... etc
    that will let a free blog to be better than some paid sites ..

    I just got some simple clue from SEObook. it say that its there is some simple difference get some traffic between blog and site, for blog, what you need is just to create a buzz, you dont need much to buy links, etc... just create a buzz...
