How Blogs get good position on Search Engines??

Hi friends, I want to know how blogs get good position on search engines like some websites.

Mostly all the good position sites on Search Engines are only Websites but not Blogs. How can Blogs achieve good position on Search Engines??

A blog is like any other regular site. Make it a quality blog and it will rank in the search engines.

You need to build links and write quality content so that the reader does not exit a second after he steps in.

Ranking obviously depends on keywords- you are obviously not going to rank for a competitive keyword with a new blog.

 

it is like websites. getting backlinks is the key. continiously post article in your blog that is another way. social book marking is also good.

html, wordpress, drupal, php, asp, unique scripts, ..... not important. if the visiters like your site, your site will be the king.

Is it true that blogs which are based on some content system like Wordpress don't rank well because it takes them too much time to load ?
I mean, they need to fetch data from DB, rewrite URLs etc, and all those extra activities take time...

Blogs actually have alot of potential to rank well, considering the social tendancies they inherintly have. Trackbacks, pinging update services, and commenting on other blogs relating to your niche (your peers), engaging in social sites like Digg, Propeller, Twitter, Facebook etc. all swing to the advantage of the blogger.

And of course traditional methods of promotion still apply.

I use blogs to rank high in search engines. Here is why I think they do so.

1) Blog software is highly seo compliant (ie. blogger). Of course blogger is going to rank good because the google engineers make it so the postings comply with google search engine.

2) title of post is in the url (see #1)

3) easy to update.

4) easy to place keyword into the blog url.

5) easy to implement social bookmarking.

I've had so much more success using blogger than I have with my other websites even though I put SUBSTANTIALLY more effort into my main websites. Now I only work on blogs.

 

Web Page Structure. From title, tag, keyword, and url, that is the most important thing.

 

They are almost the same. Actually, blogs have an advantage especially if it is always updated with fresh and quality content. In SEO matter, the techniques are the same on page and off page factor.

 

We can update blog easily and daily. Generally blogs present latest news and information that visitors like to read, and what visitors like, Google also likes.

If you optimize your blog properly and give some time and lots of efforts than your blogs also get rank high same as other sites.

 

i think blogspot gets the quality ranking in google and thing is that blogspot template is made according to google rules and also google loves give good ranking to it,s own service like google groups.
