I'm trying to find out what big companies like business.com, latimes.com and many other big online companies do different in their SEO. Let's say if I have a budget of a million dollars now, what would I do with it to rank on the first page of google for strong keywords? What would you do?
If you want good result on SEO, you need a lot of man power to work out on different way such as submission, link request, link purchase, link exchange, social bookmarking etc. If you have enough money, just pay to the those top seo company, they will show you the result. First page basically is reachable even for the strong/popular keyword but never believe on those "guarantee #1"
Big online companies do their SEO with Big SEO company. 2 years ago i work for a big company, we hire big SEO company. They use 3 way links, social bookmarking and articles, also some press realise derictories and a lot of satellite SEO websites.
Would never tell either. But, I think SEO is all the same - bigger companies just have more resources to throw at it. My suggestion - do a web ssearch and compile all the SEO items that you can. Rank them based on what you think will work - then start trying them. if one does not work, scrap it and try another. I am not a big SEO company but this method works well for me.
Big online companies assign a monthly budget for SEO, as they assign a budget for marketing or online marketing in general. SEO is an ongoing activity. If you want consistent and long lasting results, you have to invest money (or time) in SEO on a regular basis.
big online companies don't need to throw so much money at seo and this is because they are big, people know them probably of some product or service and thus they spread the word themeselves, so the answer is within your question.
if i provide you 7 people for one website. Then you can also achieve every goal just like big companies. Men power and money is the only difference among us and big companies.
Some of them have their own SEO experts and the others hire SEO companies to do this job...for huge cash!
I am interested in this as well. So no one here thinks that they leverage their business connections for links, etc? This would be my second guess behind throwing money at it until it sticks.
They just hire people to work for them. And when websites are as big as the top 5 on google people always refer to them in articles as well even if no one pays them. its like if you right a article about business and you have the phrase " according to business.com"
