hi, If i register a domain under .biz, how will be this compared to .com . I know .com is always popular, want to know the ratio of disadvantages. Regards
it's really doesn't affect too much on SEO.. even blogspot blogs can rank #1 on popular keywords.. .com is easy to remember to most average people, like internet stereotype.. when they think about internet address, they think about domain name first and then they think it must be blablablah dot com .. otherwise noted
.com domains will most likely be easier to sell, and easier to remember. That means more profit (when you sell it) an more visitors. I would use .biz only if the .com extension is taken, or if I'm using a domain hack (a word that ends with the letters .biz). As a domain buyer, I normally ignore most .biz domains and focus on .coms.
Hi, I have an experience that some people do mistypo .biz to a com, I buy .com .net .info .biz and .org, some people wanna come to other than .com but mistypo to .com So agree, concentrate to .com first is a very good choice Kind regards, netspg
.biz tld is generally used by companies who do not require general visitors to come to their sites from SE or other places. Such sites mainly cater to a dedicated group of people or clients only...imo Regards, RightMan
I'm not in any way an expert on this matter, but from my general web browsing experience of over ten years/and at least six hours a day: I do not visit very often any websites that have an extension outside of .com. I can name the number of sites I visit often without a .com [two] and one of those is a .mil website, the other is .us. I would say that if you are just starting a website, only buy the .com. After a month of time, if you feel like the project is actually going in an upwards turn you can go back and repurchase the same domain name in different extensions. In the long run, you'd save yourself some money if you didn't purchase four or five domain names per project especially since most users [as it's already been mentioned before] don't remember an extension as easily as the TLD. It's best to stick with the most widely used: .com.
you can't compare .biz with .com. .biz is some what weak tld now you can see even single characted .biz auctions went for some what low moeny
i agree you really can't compare .biz with .com.... .com is general and very often used where as .biz is for specific purposes..normally big big corporate houses make sites on them. and then again .com is easy to remember so a lot of people go for that only.. and obviously .COM can get you far more profits what .BIZ can not. Bigger profits come with .COM web site....
basicly, tld domains are same functions but in my head and all peoples (mostly) .com is the first serve to type in the browser
Hi, There is generally 2 levels of domains. 1. Top level domain( gov, edu, org, com, net, co.in) 2. Middle or lower level domain (biz, us, au) Google always gives higher preferences to the top level domains and it work. So from my point of view registering ur site with the top level domain rather than in the lower level domain will work in the SEO perspective.
If you have any intention for reselling it, go for .com domain, if its a popular keyword? But the problem is every name has been taken.
.com is easy to remember, and when somebody search yourdomain, mostly it goes to .com. But if you are interested keyword search, .biz is the same as .com because good keyword for .com is already taken. but a lot of keyword .biz are quited every day.
