At the start of December I launched an Xmas game on Facebook. I'm getting about 500 plays per day and I have about 95 likes, that's the good news. The bad news I pretty much have zero knowledge as to how best to promote the game on Facebook and also how to promote my game development brand on Facebook. I've laid out a few questions below, any advice is greatly appreciated! 1) I'm confused over the different types of pages that there are. Obviously I have a personal profile page, but not sure about the other page types and how I can best use them? 2) My game has it's own page, but what type of info/updates etc should I put there? how best can I use it? 3) I don't have a company page yet, or is that the same as a Fan page? anyway, what category would a game development company go in? 4) What Facebook viral elements should I be looking to take advantage of? 5) I keep being tempted to use a facebook marketing agency or individual to help with all this, but I'm wary of scams and whether they can really help me that much anyway, are they good idea? and are there any that come highly recommended?
