Twitter is a very powerful place to make money. Here are some tips that will help you, but it will require some effort on your side: 1. Find a hot market with lots of buyers (do some market research, use Google trends, Google news). 2. Once you found yo market, open a Twitter account that will be related to that market. For example if you are in the dating niche, open a Twitter account that will be related to that niche (as for bio and picture). 3. Find people in that niche that have large follower base (you can use the Twitter search and write a keyword related to your niche. Start following their followers. 4. Start posting helpful content every day. If you are in the dating niche, you can find a clickbank product in that niche, join their affiliate program, and use their content to post on Twitter. 5. People will start listening to you. You can put an affiliate link as you homepage in Twitter. 6. Once you have large follower base, start posting recommendations for affiliate products that will help them. you can do that in between the content that you post. 7. Rinse and repeat in any niche you like. Thats just in a nutshell. Hope this helps, Jack
2 great sites to have in your twitter arsenal are buzzom.com to find the right people to follow in your niche... and twaitter.com to set up automatic tweets. In buzzom.com, the crossfollow tool allows you to follow the followers of popular people in your niche, which is powerful.
twitter is about to bring in its own ad service might help users monetize , this month or may i guess
I'm using SponsoredTweets ( http://sponsoredtweets.com/ ). If you can register through my referral link: http://bit.ly/4fTFmr
There are some companies out there that were offering payments for you to twit their services, I also can't figure out how we can generate money from twitter alone.
Jack, great post. As a buyer of sponsored tweets through a service, I found I had a 0.1% to 0.7% response rate. Pretty good they said. The CPC was high to me, but then I looked at revenue generated and realised the EPC is crazy!! I expect Twitter may be in for a surprise unless they charge 1/10th or so the going rates for sponsored ads. So, if you're looking at moneterizing, keep that in mind.
just grow your user base and be real about what you talk about...this wil turn into traffic which you can then convert.
I agree with Jack. I use twitter to communicate and connect, and when they visit my blogs, many of my followers will sign up for my newsletter or become subscribers. This way, some of them will eventually help me earn money
When it comes to generating revenue, Twitter is not an end; rather, it is a means to an end. I view Twitter as the concierge of the Internet. You can easily find people that have certain interests or needs and direct them to solutions. This how you can make your money. Before committing to Twitter though, you must commit to a product or service. For example, say you sold Internet services. If that was your product, I would recommend going to Twitter and searching for complaints against your competitors, for phrases like "DSL sucks" or something relating to your product. Instantly, you'll find hundreds of warm leads that you can approach about your product or service to begin the sales process. Do you have a niche that you feel comfortable marketing on Twitter?
