Hi, A few years ago I scraped a living from friendfinder.com using websites. When market conditions changed in the wake of the dot-com hassle I found myself hit by the double-whammy of declining traffic and reduced payouts. I've now recently discovered a way to generate big traffic and am seriously considering getting back in the game again. Now, as I understand, the basic consensus is that with traffic it is hard not to make money. I run some "celebrity glamour" sites that are on the soft end of the softcore market. So far, using Friendfinder exclusively doesn't seem to be an option, the conversion rates are too low. I'm getting the impression that I'm not making the most of a valuable resource. What do other affiliates in this area do? Do you use a range of sites? One of those give us your cc for content sites? Adsense? Do you concentrate on building an opt-in list? Also, I'm using free sites at the moment. I know that it is universally frowned upon as it is seen as unprofessional. But the play I'm using doesn't really depend on Pagerank or the search engines or backlinks, and I'm wondering whether it would actually help much to start buying domain names and all the hassle that entails. Would any adult affiliates care to give rough figures as to the type of conversion rates I should be getting per hit? A reference to any previous discussion along these lines would be helpful. I don't neccessarily expect very valuable information to come free. Any one who can offer me a direct means of increasing profit is welcome to send me broker links or whatever, but don't play me, I bite.
if your sites are celebrity related you can try with some adult celebs programs like MrSkin or JB. Also you can check Greenguyandjim - they have some nice conversion info for adult programs...
depending on what line you are pushing on your celeb sites some CPA networks allow you to promote their offers. but they would have to approve your site first but may be worth a phone call to them.
