    The new rules state,
So please my dear mods and moddettes answer this question, basically if I make a thread and someone wants to buy something from me they have to PM me, they can't post "E-mail me your paypal" or anything of the sort?
    For example this thread,
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=886113

Is a rule broken there? Because I got banned yesterday but I'm not sure whether it was because of that thread or because of another thread in which I posted "PM me the details" and that was before I even knew about the new rules.

Also, why were the rules changed? I really liked the old system seeing as if a product was of more value more people would be interested thereby bumping the thread and letting everyone know about it... so now no one is going to know about a great new product because new threads will be made hiding the old ones.

So please answer my question, how are we suppossed to buy and sell stuff? Thank you.

Its quite simple the way i see it, if someone wants your service, they will pm you, and you can go from there.

Yeah but new people will make new threads and the old threads with the actual good services will be lost to the pointless products some people sell. So some people might end up missing some pretty good deals.

This is a good point, and it brings a question to my mind also, which is this....if you post a thread, and never get a response, and it get buried, are you aloud to post a new thread, after a certain amount of time, or do you have to never post that service again.

It does seem something would have to give, either we should be aloud to bump after a certain time, or post the same topic again.

The announcement explains how to deal with it all.

Dont ask for people to reply to the thread if interested and dont reply you are interested. PM that stuff.

If you have questions then post it.

People saying they're interested doesn't show that something is popular - it might just mean it's cheap, or that you've made some unrealistic promise that intrigues them. Frankly, the new rules will make sure the truly popular offers stay alive and visible (the ones where deals were actually done, and people liked it enough to leave a real review or something) versus the old system where everyone's crap deals were getting bumped (making it harder to stay on the front page, not easier). So look at it this way - now you'll have fewer other threads being simply bumped ahead of yours. ;)
