How are video ads paid?

Has anyone experimented with the google video ads yet?

I'm wondering how the pay structure for these works. Do you get paid each time someone watches a video, or do they have to both watch the video and click the link at the end?

It says it may substitute other youtube videos if no video ads are available. What happens in this instance - are they just not paid or what?

It serves both ways.. mainly CPM and then CPC.

Thanks Abhik. I might give these a try. Not sure. I'm never really too pleased with CPM ads because I get a decent CTR so I usually get screwed on CPM rates, but it might be worth a try.

So are the earnings high with the video ads or no?
