How are these stats?

Hi All,

My site has been up for a week now and i was just after some feedback on my stats so far.

Its a travel forum aimed at general travel discussion (so no specific niche other than 'travel')

Page impressions Clicks Page CTR Page eCPM Earnings
3,735 ..................56 ........1.50%.... $0.77 .........$2.86

Threads: 60, Posts: 175, Members: 31, Active Members: 31


And i know it is different for each site etc etc, but im just after some feedback as to how that looks for my first week of my first website.

First of all as per adsense TOS you can not reveal ctr and ecpm so edit the post now
Secondly the stats are just ok ok neither too good nor too bad

I'd say for your first week that's pretty good.

How are you getting the word out?

 

for week 1...it is good.

 

I am a moderator of another (non competing) forum so I spread the word that way. Most of my members so far are from that forum.

I have set-up a face book group about the forum, but everyone just joined the group and didnt sign up to the forum!

A bit of basic word of mouth amongst friends also.

I think it will be harder for me to grow by that much again this week, but we'll see. I have just purchased a small amount of advertising and will see if that drives any traffic.

I heard that forums were the hardest to get some decent Adsense revenue from? Or am I mistaken here.

 

I think you could be right Walt. If you have regular forum users clicking ads, Adsense can note the IPs and think it is deliberate attempt to make money, which isnt the case.

Im not doing it to make money, im aiming to build a one stop travel database of peoples first hand experiences, rather than relying on marketing publications etc.
