How are the freelancer sites money managed?

    How are the freelancer sites buyers and programmers money managed.

    If suppose a buyer has 1000USD on his account at a freelancer site, where are the funds deposited, in paypal or anyother merchat account.

    If buyers and programmers keep their funds on the freelancer site and do transactions, does the freelancer site owners get anything charged?

    Any experienced persons related to this field plz advice me.

    I think the buyer can transfer his money to Paypal !! :)

    I don't think there is any type of fee. :rolleyes:

    I just participate in freelancer site - GAF.
    The system is easy, but for first time I almost lost myself :)
    For example - they are use escrow system:
    Buyer transfer money to his GAF account and then to GAF account of seller.
    But payment is finished only when seller transfer domain,give work or so on.
    My mistake was classic - I just finish payment in advance and now I hope freelancer will do his job :(

    That's what i wanted to know, the escrow payment where does it stay in site owners account. If in site owners account, will it be on site or paypal?

    Yes, GAF is managing this via Escrow system, but it's a risky business
