How Are Text Link Ads?

I've been seeing a lot of linkage to www.Text-Link-Ads.com lately - how are they?

How are Text Link Ads? Has anyone here tried them, or does anyone here currently use them? I am not talking about advertising; I am talking about Text Link Ads from a publisher's perspective. How does this service differ from Google AdSense or Yahoo! Publisher Network? Are there high CTR's and click values?

Would really like some more information about Text Link Ads, as I am trying to find the best contexual advertising program to use to monetize my websites to the max! :D

http://www.text-link-ads.com is the URL in case you're wondering about what it is too!

    Thanks. :D

I think it's like Adbrite. I've never tried it tho, so I'm not sure how well it works.

From a publisher's perspective, it's great if you have a decent PR and/or Alexa ranking. And the payout repeats monthly, which is good.

I use it, I have had a lot better results with it than I have with adsense and adbrite combined. There is a site calculator at the site that gives you a general idea of how much they will sell your ads for.

Basically this is how it works:
You submit your site and give info on it
If approved they will sell text link ads (no discriptions just a link) on your site.
You can approve and disapprove of ads.
They control the price of the ads
    25$ for referrals.

Wow, sounds pretty good so far. :)
Can I use AdSense with Text Link Ads or is it against either one's TOS?

Yup...all you're doing is placing a link on your site.

How effective is it for advertisers? Does it bring decent traffic?

I've gotten decent traffic using it, but the best use (I've found) is for high-PR backlinks, which helps your search ranking tremendously.

Cool, good info. The problem I am facing is which sites to purchase advertisement on. Go for a higher alexa ranking or PR. Based on what you said going with a higher PR might make more sense for SE ranking. Also go with a single page or multiple page listing? My site deals with education and vocabulary words, maybe there are some potential sites you can help point out for me: http://www.text-link-ads.com/Education-C49/

Really appreciate it in advance. Thanks!

If you're just going for the SE benefits, pick any site there with a PR5 or higher, preferably multi-page, and do it within your budget of course. Those prices are per-month.
