    Please look at my site http://hotdeeds.com and help me understand why I get a base weight of 2. What software is used by the coop to determine the number of pages in a website?

    Here is a report using Xenu's Link Sleuth. Is there a better software to use to get an accurate idea of the number of pages in a website?

    i use for example a HomepageSearchEngine Pro 3.53+
    from
    http://www.homepagesearchengine.com
    for on-site real-time full text search
    it has the feature of listing all files ( except the ones i put on the ban list for search )

    this method brings me really all html or whatever configured files
    and i "see" about 30% more pages than with the google search.
    i use this output as a site-map because it has again all files linked - even those who for whatever reason have been orphan files will be there and thus will be linked.

    The number of pages indexed by google for my site has jumped by about 1000 from last week when I first activated my co-op account, yet my weight hasn't changed yet... how come?

    Been making some backend changes, so the revalidation has not been run lately. Hopefully soon it will be all automated.

    Oh, no worries... thanks, Shawn. Just checking. ;) Just to let you know, it's been working wonders for my rankings - for both my keywords, I've jumped alomst 80 spots for each in the past week. :D Getting close to the first page now. :D
