How are keyword phrases created and their values determined?

    Is it all based on what people search for? Why is "mesothelioma" worth so much?
    Are a lot of people searching for that term?

    If I create my own phrase with the word "mesothelioma" in it will high paying adsense ads show up on my site?

    If you search for high paying keywords and make sites for those to me = A site made for Adsense = Crap
