Hello, now that I built some sites for personal enjoyment and it turned out to be good stuff I was thinking of starting my web design career. But I figured out it would be a lot better to start with something less demanding, like logo design. This way I'd accomodate myself with what exactly makes a good design, how to interact with the customers etc. but at a lower scale. OK... So where do I start? What tools should I use? Please provide me with some links/tutorials/books any type of useful information regarding logo design. Thanks!
Try experimenting with things that you've gathered from your web design. I started out by browsing things on Forrst, Dribbble and places like that. They really are useful and might help you. Check them out (Google them)
Try joining fiverr and similar websites... You get some orders but wont be paid high... You get $5 for one order... After you have a perfect grip on logo designing you can leave them and charge your own amount... This is how i make handful of money doing PSD to HTML and CSS themes...

Before you create any type of design, you should seem at typography basics, colour theory and composition. Those skills will assist you no matter what kind of design you choose is right for you. I am totally agree with williamsadrina design career is a very creative but don't forget it is also really tricky and to starts from just logo i don;t think it is the right path. I recomend you to follow williamsadrina idea, or just a stars from small websites that could be a more easy task. Logos are one of the most important design in a company and generally rules the rest of the design.
