HI I hear a lot of people recommendign article marketing, but what i want to know is how affective has it been for you. I did not have much luck with articel marketing.
If post unique article and submit to article directories then your article will rank higher. Readers after reading article come towards your website. This way your website traffic would increase.

Hi, I don't want to derail this thread but this might be the best place to put my question. I understand article submission is a great way to generat traffic, but how does it generate traffic? Do people go to lets say e-zine articles and search for articles to read? is that why? Please forgive my ignorance, I am just trying to understand why and how it works.
Article marketing can be very effective, especially over the long term. The key is to be very dedicated, especially in the beginning. To be effective, you need to do more than write a couple of articles, submit them and sit back. You need to keep writing and building a solid foundation. The other thing with article marketing is that it takes a little time to get traction, so don't expect overnight results. Depending on what you are promoting, it can take several weeks to start seeing some income. Don't give up though, keep building your foundation. What makes article marketing especially nice is that, once the articles are written, it's passive income. Good articles may be sending you customers for years to come.
NO MATTER what other people tell you,article marketing is the best way to start out in internet marketing on a shoe-string budget.You will learn a lot in the process and like the person ^^ me said,that's some very nice passive income if you SEO them good enough.

To really make it work, you should work hard and smart with your article marketing. - Test different resource boxes and filter and refine the best ones. - Write articles on a regular basis (several a day, no exceptions) - Keep looking for new sources where you can submit your articles and check to see which ones bring the most traffic. Just throwing the odd article on Ezinearticles won't cut it...
Thanks guys, great answers but I still have a few questions... Am I submitting an original article or just copying an article from my own blog and submitting to something like e-zine articles? I guess I should sign up and see how e-zin articles work since I am not sure.
You can use the same article as posted on your blog. It's called "Syndication" of your articles. There are many myths about article marketing such as the duplication penalty and so forth. There are also ways of making each article "get more bang for it's buck" sort of Web 2.0 article marketing. Hope this helps.
Articlw marketing works but you need to be consistant with it.. plus get backlinks to your articles or website..
Article marketing is a good way to get quality backlinks fast. But its not easy (especially if you can't write like me), I'd suggest to also try to get different types of backlinks for diversity.
Keep working at it. Make sure to utilize several of the different places to submit your articles. Work and improving the quality of your articles and implementing the best SEO principles. Also, complement your article marketing with other marketing strategies. It does take diligence and work.
Hey gismo, what objectives are you trying to fulfill on? a) Increasing website traffic? b) Increasing online sales on your website? c) SEO? Article marketing can fulfill on all three, but you should be clear on your goals. Your goals dictates your article marketing strategy.
Let me ask you a question. What does article marketing MEAN to you? To me it means producing articles to guide my readers to take an action I wish them to take. My articles are put in places where potential customers might be. This can mean in article directories, forums, Web 2.0 sites, MY OWN BLOGS, Facebook Groups, Yahoo Answers, YouTube, etc.
