Well i've pretty much been working non-stop at improving my adsense income since i've been home from college. My adsense income was about $6/day 2 weeks ago. That was with an internet tool site bringing in about 1000 uniques a day and a few other sites bringing in about 400 uniques a day. I've been working 8+ hours a day solely on adsense. Without being too specific, I've been mostly creating sites about interesting topics, internet tools, and directories. Aside from a few blogs which include rss feeds, all of my sites content was created by myself just using google to research my topics and learn enough to write about them. I have 33 specific topic sites getting 20-60 uniques each day, and a handful of other random topic websites getting anywhere from 10-400 uniques a day. My income now from the past week and a half has been steady at $15-20/day. Most of my traffic is coming in from google, I haven't really submitted the sites to directories yet, that's what I'm about to start working on now but I almost feel like it's easier to get traffic by including keywords in your content, I can't stress that enough. If you know how to work with keywords you can basically sit back and get visitors just off search engines. I'm not going to explain more about the keyword process because I learned about them by googling for a few hours and making sites with different keyword organization, it's not a hard subject really. Today I had a click for $1.36 which is almost triple the most I've seen to date which was pretty motivational. Anyway, just a little rant before I get back to work.
Excellent post, fuzzylogic (although I wouldn't exactly call it a rant, heh heh). Should be very inspirational to Adsense noobs.
Yeah, thanks for the post. I qualify as a newb. I've made some pages recently that I used some keyword strategies for, and I have to give it a while to see if I've finally figured out what I'm supposed to be doing... I think I have, but I won't know unless I see results.
Thats great! You are def inspiring! I've been working with Adsense for about a month and a half... and have gotten up to $2.50/day Not a lot of money.. but def a lot more than my old .3 cent clicks So thanks for the advice!
That's very encouraging - sometimes it feels like I get no SE traffic at all - good to know it does happen
