How accurate is the google adword keyword tool?

    Hi there guys I have been looking for a new keyword and have been using the google adword keyword tool here. It says the approx search volume for november was 8100. So does this mean 8100 people searched for that keyword in november? Also how accurate is it because that same keyword only has 44 results when i type it into google? If this tool is accurate and my results are right, I think i have hit the jackpot :D Please could someone confirm this thanks :)

    adwords keyword tool shows results from not only google searches but also from google partner site searches. so actual google search will be significantly less

    44 results and 8100 search volume? Doesn't tally here. If it is only 44, then most of the time it's long tailed but I have never seen before the search volume as high as you've mentioned with long tailed.

    I was so shcoked when i saw only 44 competing for the keyword :D I think i will go for the keyword then :) Thanks HydroJohn
