How Accurate is Overture Keyword Selector Tool?

    Hey,

The overture keyword selector tool said that a certain keyphrase had 90,000 searches last month. How reliable is the statistics they provide?

Also how much would you say there is in total per month for that keyphrase if overture says 90,000?

    Thanks :)

That article seems HEAVILY biased towards WordTracker, which is typical of Robin Nobles if I remember correctly from years ago.

A word on wordtracker, I recently had to do a keyword analysis on aviation related keywords, and take a look at wordtracker's results for number of searches on the keyword 'airport', vs the number of CLICKS adwords predicts for the same keyword. The difference is huge, and I would err on the side of Google.
